Mystery of the Nile Honored With Three Film Awards at the Shanghai Science Week Film Festival

Mystery of the Nile, produced by Orbita Max along with MacGillivray Freeman Films, earned three film awards including the festival’s top awards for Film of Outstanding Content and Best-Received Film at the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum’s Science Week Film Festival held May 17 through June 1. Twelve original 70mm giant screen films were presented at the festival which gave out ten film awards. All awards were based on public surveys and audience online voting.

Mystery of the Nile was honored with three of the top awards: Film of Outstanding Content, Film of Outstanding Sound, and the Best-Received Film award in the Dome category.

“As a giant screen film enthusiast and professional, Mystery of the Nile brought so many surprises to me” said Gu Jieyan, Deputy Director of Public Education Department at the Shanghai Science & Technology Museum. “The film brought in high attendance and took us back into far away history, inspiring us to yearn towards the great civilization of the Nile. Congratulations to the filmmakers for earning the top 3 awards and I thank them for bringing this excellent film to the SSTM Special Science Film Week.”
