THE MAGIC TALE SHOOTS THE MOTION CAPTURE FOR THE ANIMATION CHARACTERS
During two days, the director of The Magic Tale, Jordi Llompart, and the animation and visual effects team from Entropy will shoot the motion capture of the characters that are right now being modeled. Five actors will play these magical characters that are the lion, the caracal, the winged horse, the flower that interacts with the main character, and the spirit of the fire (a magical creature totally created in CGI, computer generated imagery).
The facial and body motion capture will be shot in Edda Design, in Cerdanyola del Vallès (Spain), and 10 HD cameras with Vicon software will be used for that purpose.
Once the actions by the “human actors” are shot, these will be incorporated to the digital modelling process of the characters in 3D, to give them a human and real movement. This process is being developed by Entropy and the final step will be composing these characters over the real images and backgrounds that were shot in natural settings in Africa.
