MAGIC JOURNEY TO AFRICA signs international distribution
Orbita Max and Filmax have signed the international distribution deal for the first live-action stereoscopic Spanish film, Magic Journey to Africa.
This film is an innovative project because it’s been shot in stereoscopic 3D image with actors and in natural scenarios. Last generation 3D animation and visual effects are being incorporated to the real image in an all stereoscopic visual context. The film was shot in Namibia, South Africa and Barcelona (Spain) and is right now in post-production.
Magic Journey to Africa will be present at the Marché du Film in Cannes on Orbita Max’s stand – Riviera F10, and on Filmax’s – Riviera Palais A1.
Two screenings will also take place where the 3D teaser will be premiered, these are on Friday May 15th at 9.30am at the LÉRINS 2, and Sunday 17th at 9.30am at the PALAIS K.
Magic Journey to Africa was also recently picked up for distribution on the IMAX® and large format circuits by Giant Screen Films, one of the world’s leading large format/IMAX® film production and distribution companies. They are the creators, among others, of titles such as “Michael Jordan to the Max” and “Pulse: a STOMP Odyssey”.
