Orbita Max sings international distribution for JOURNEY TO ARABIA with Explora Films

Orbita Max and Explora Films have signed an international distribution deal for JOURNEY TO ARABIA directed and produced by Jordi Llompart.

Journey to Arabia is a TV documentary made up of three episodes of 52 minutes each produced by Orbita Max in coproduction with Televisió de Catalunya. The series is an exceptional adventure documenting an expedition that for first time in recent history has crossed the whole Arabian Peninsula from top to bottom, traveling all around Syria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman and United Arab Emirates. Journey to Arabia will unveil the true essence of a fascinating and unknown region through the journey of the adventurer and geophysicist Pasquale Scaturro and the photographer Michel L’Huillier.

With more than twenty years of experience in producing and distributing documentaries, Explora Films has become a leading firm in international distribution of documentary films and series. With titles such as El Señor de Sipán, Los herederos del arca, La torre de Babel or Aislados amongst many others, its productions have been broadcasted in the major TV channels of the world. Explora Films, chaired by Oscar Portillo, has a global commercial network to distribute its titles, and works frequently with the main TV channels all over the globe: France 5, Arte, RAI, National Geographic, ZDF, ARD, NRK, SVT, RTBF, YLE, Discovery or NHK amongst others. Its productions, all directed by the company’s directors Fernando González Sitges and José Manuel Novoa have been presented in the most prestigious Film Festivals: 2004 Goya Awards with Eyengui, el dios del sueño, National Geographic Film Festival, Durban Wildtalk Africa, Seminci in Valladolid or the International Wildlife Film Festival of Montana.

Journey to Arabia will be presented at the upcoming MIPDOC and MIPTV in April, two of the most important media and television fairs in the world.
