“MYSTERY OF THE NILE” SURPASSES 6.5 MILLION VIEWER MILESTONE IN GIANT SCREEN THEATRES WORLDWIDE
The Orbita Max / MacGillivray Freeman Films original giant screen co-production Mystery of the Nile recently surpassed the six and a half million viewer milestone after two years in giant screen theatres. Mystery of the Nile, the first Spanish large format film, has taken in more than $36 million since its platform release in February 2005 and has been licensed to 100 exhibitors. The film was the highest grossing giant screen film of 2005. Directed by Spanish filmmaker Jordi Llompart and produced by Llompart and two-time Academy Award®-nominee Greg MacGillivray, Mystery of the Nile follows the inspirational quest of explorers Pasquale Scaturro and Gordon Brown to become the first in history to successfully run the Blue Nile River from its source in Ethiopia to where it empties into the Mediterranean Sea.
